Promises Remembered
Fulfill Last Year's Resolutions Before the New Year Begins By Debbie Mandel
Once I have eaten an apple, drunk a glass of water and gotten up off the couch, I have already organized my thinking around good health. These small lifestyle changes have a monumental effect on my psyche. I feel energized and empowered. I have taken control over these manageable parts of my life. I am on the road to a more positive perception about myself, my family and my job. I pat myself on the back.
I begin with my desk. Suddenly, I have more time. I don't have to search for everything because I am organized. I move on to my closet over the weekend out with the old to make room for the new outfits. Simplifying has its perks! Then I prioritize my daily tasks. Guess what? Some of them no longer apply or mean that much to me. I let them go. My list is smaller and I suddenly have more time not for the others, but for me. Now, that's what I call greatr control over my destiny. I have more choices. I use my phone machine to screen those annoying cold calls during dinner and when I'm busy with other jobs. When I cook, I prepare a double amount to freeze as leftovers for when I am too busy to cook dinner. When I organize my physical environment, I clarify my thinking. I perceive what is important to me, so that I can be the best that I can be.
