Two Cute!

Adorable Costumes to Make for Your Twins

By Kymberly Pratt

Pages:  1  2  3  4  5  6

Even if you dress your twins alike on a regular basis, on Halloween, each twin should have their own statement to make! These Halloween costumes complement each other, but allow each twin to shine!

Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich
Your twins will look adorable in these sandwich costumes! Each twin represents one half of the sandwich – one peanut butter, the other jelly!

You'll need:
Decorator foam
Purple felt
Brown felt
White felt
Hot glue
Serrated knife

Here's what you do:
1. Take the white foam and cut out a piece of bread as large as you like (to fit your child). Cutting can be very easy with a serrated kitchen knife. You can be as creative as you want to be. A piece of poster board could be used if you want to save some pennies. Repeat for each child.

2. After you have the bread cut out, cut two small slits in the upper corners of the bread. Each slit needs to be about 2 inches in length and one on top of the other. (See illustration one.)

3. Cut 1-inch wide strips of white felt to thread through the slits cut in the foam or poster board. These strips will act as arms bands to keep the bread attached to your child. You will want to cut them long enough for the child to put their arm through.

4. After you have the bread cut and arm strips attached, you now want to make the sandwich. On one piece of bread attach purple felt to represent the jelly and on the other attach the brown felt to represent the peanut butter. Attach each piece of felt with hot glue.

You can make any type of sandwich that you wish. You could even be creative and make lettuce and tomatoes, ham and cheese, etc.

One child a hamburger, the other a French fry. What could be cuter?
