Grandparents and Kids in Paradise

My parents are early-risers so we decided to explore Maui in the mornings and relax beachside afternoons. My dad and Max (science buffs) loved exploring the Maui Ocean Center where we learned about green sea turtles, marveled at the grace of sharks and stingrays and gently touched sea cucumbers and sea stars. Another big hit was whale-watching with Pacific Whale Foundation Eco-Adventures. This company donates all profits from tours to saving whales, dolphins and other marine-life, and the knowledgeable staff (all certified marine naturalists) encouraged questions and patiently answered Max's many inquiries. Everyone onboard marveled at the many whales we saw on the cruise and we snapped picture after picture. Save plenty of time in Maui for beachcombing. We played tag with waves, swam, sun-worshiped and built sand castles. A favorite memory is of my dad teaching Max how to snorkel.
