How do Kegel exercises help with incontinence?
Kegel exercises are designed to strengthen the voluntary muscles of the pelvic floor (the muscles that control the flow of urine). These muscles then allow an individual to control the outflow of urine when the involuntary muscles are no longer able to do so. This is one of the more helpful treatments, especially in stress or urge incontinence."
