Expert Q&A

I'm leaking urine and am nervous about telling my husband. I'm afraid he won't find me as attractive if he knows about this. Do you have any suggestions?
It is certainly understandable that you would be worried. However, marriage is about the positives and the not-so-positives. It is very important that you give your husband a chance, rather than prejudging him. Your husband is likely to be sympathetic rather than critical.
If it does affect your intimacy, this is also something to discuss openly. If your husband does have a negative response that makes you uncomfortable, it is likely to represent a deeper issue in your marriage that you might consider addressing with a counselor."
